(view from the living room)
(view of the eat-in dining area from inside the kitchen...I love our bay window. It feels like we're eating in a tree house.)
(our little kitchen..just enough room!)
(I'm thankful for a window above the sink)
Our plans for this little nook:
-remove wallpaper (grrrrr)...paint color is already chosen
-do something with the "waste of space" under the bay window...any ideas?
-add knobs to the cabinets and drawers
-replace light fixture above table
Head on over to Extraordinary Love to get in on the house crashing party!
Hi Cait! You're blog is adorable :)
ReplyDeleteIf I were you, I would build a window seat/bench in that bay window nook. That way, you have a cute window seat for grabbing a book and a cup of coffee, OR you could pull your table up to the bench for added seating.
Good luck with the wallpaper!
Wow! I was going to say the same thing! A window seat would be great there, with a big comfy cushion! What color did you all choose? Love your new blog design! It's so you =] Catch ya later!
ReplyDeleteYou could put a bench under the window. Then you would have storage AND seating. It would be a lovely place to read. Or you could make it a shelf and not a seat, but still use it for storage.
ReplyDeleteI love your kitchen, it must be a joy to cook in.
I love the new blog layout Cait! Can't wait to see what you come up with for the bay window. I think a seat with storage would look great and some cute, modern windo treatments!
ReplyDeletelove the bench idea...we have thought about that...well just one more thing to add to the list for Justin this winter when we're stuck inside with the cold weather! :) Thanks for the feedback, ladies!
ReplyDeleteyes I definitely think you need a bench there! Benches are the perfect thing under a bay window. i do really love that window-we have a bay in our bedroom and i love them! your kitchen design and layout is very similar to mine it looks like-except mine is even smaller : ) but looking at it straight on-everything is placed the same! I think it's beautiful. oh, and i love your table!! Thanks for joining the party!
ReplyDeleteIt's unanimous! Window Seat! And I don't think they're too hard to build... Is Justin handy?
ReplyDeleteLove your kitchen and dining areas! My cabinets look alot like yours! A window seat IS a great idea by the bay window!!
